ABOUT THE ROBOTIC CELL

The automatic marking system consists of two industrial manipulators (the first is equipped with a dot-matrix paint marking machine, the second with a set of welding equipment for spot welding). It is a high-tech industrial solution designed for efficient and high-quality identification marking of hot-rolled steel coils. It is used in hot rolling mills to automate laborious and hazardous operations, ensuring high productivity and product preservation.

Marking application

When the coil stops in the working zone of the first robotic cell, the marking program is triggered using a dot-matrix paint marking machine mounted on the manipulator.

Self-cleaning

After the paint marking is applied, the coil moves further along the conveyor, and the manipulator moves to a mechanical nozzle cleaning system for the marking machine.

Tag creation

A tag with a machine-readable code is printed on a laser printer.

Tag welding

When the coil stops in the working zone of the second robotic cell, the industrial manipulator uses a vacuum gripper to move the tag to the coil and weld it using spot welding.
