Geological exploration support based on subsurface radar sounding methods

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The application of this method in prospecting, exploration, and operational mining for ore minerals is based on the high relative dielectric permittivity of specific ore minerals (sulfides of Fe, Pb, Zn, Cu, Ni, Mo; oxides of Fe, Ti, Sn).

In this context, GPR acts as an effective direct method for mineral exploration, as it can detect actual deposits of industrially valuable minerals with high resolution.

PROMISING OPPORTUNITIES

Dramatic increase in productivity
The method allows for a dramatic increase in the productivity of high-precision deep sounding and can be applied from air and sea vessels, from the surface of land and ice fields, in permafrost conditions, and in hard-to-reach mountainous areas.
Creation of a unique system
The method enables the creation of a unique national information-analytical system for continuous high-precision deep 3D monitoring and spatial mapping of the subsurface of the Russian Federation's territory and maritime economic zone.
